Cone crushers

CH440 cone crusher

A cone-crusher model for secondary crushing of hard, abrasive rock with hydraulic setting adjustment.

The CH440 has a one-piece main frame and a main shaft supported hydraulically from below. ASRi automatic adjustment changes settings and compensates for liner wear where fitted. Confirm the availability of ASRi and Hydroset in the proposed configuration with our technical team.

Secondary crushing for hard-rock circuits

Plan the CH440 around chamber, setting and screening

For a hard-rock secondary stage, the CH440 should be considered as part of a connected process. The primary-crusher discharge, chosen cone chamber and screen arrangement all influence the task. Define the intended products before assessing how the machine will work in the line.

Prepare a suitable secondary feed

Start with the primary discharge rather than the quarry lump size alone. Describe its grading, rock properties and moisture, and identify material that bypasses the cone. Review the feed arrangement and downstream screen together so the secondary stage receives an appropriate flow instead of inheriting an upstream bottleneck.

Balance reduction with the return circuit

A change in chamber or CSS alters what reaches the screen and how much material may return for another pass. The reference chamber matrix is a guide to these relationships, not an unconditional production promise. Check the liners, operating setting and supplied adjustment equipment against the proposed duty.

Questions before selection

Should the CH440 be selected as the primary crusher?

This page treats the CH440 as a secondary crushing option for the described hard-rock circuit. Large run-of-quarry feed requires a separate assessment of the primary stage before a cone chamber and feed arrangement are selected.

Does changing CSS guarantee the required finished fraction?

No. Finished fractions also depend on feed, chamber, screening and recirculation. Review the expected product distribution and screen cut points together; a single closed-side setting cannot describe the output of the whole circuit.

Selection guide

Selection starts with your material.

Tell us the rock type, largest feed size, required fractions and throughput target. Include moisture, clay, site layout and available power where known. These inputs help define a suitable configuration.
